Jovanović Confers with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar
The State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nevena Jovanović met with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, on the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the State of Qatar, with both sides reaffirming their readiness to further strengthen and advance cooperation.
In this context, the interlocutors discussed opportunities to further intensify bilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation within international organisations and multilateral fora.
On this occasion, State Secretary Jovanović reiterated Serbia’s gratitude to the relevant authorities of the State of Qatar for their cooperation and invaluable support during the evacuation of citizens of the Republic of Serbia in March this year, amid the crisis in the Middle East.
She emphasised that this support represents yet another testament to the strong bilateral relations, friendship and mutual respect between the Republic of Serbia and the State of Qatar.
